Rules: Listening, Reading and Writing run back to back with no breaks, as in the real test. Do not pause or replay audio. No dictionaries, translators or notes. Write answers exactly as required by each word limit; spelling counts; British or American spelling is accepted. In the letter, begin exactly as the task instructs and cover all three bullet points; you do not need to write any addresses. In the real test Speaking can be on the same day or up to 7 days before or after; here you may take a short break before it.
Scoring: General Training Reading uses its own, stricter conversion (about 34/40 for Band 7 and 37/40 for Band 8). Listening uses the same table as Academic. Writing and Speaking are graded against the four band criteria, and the overall band is the average of the four, rounded to the nearest half band.
