Tip for grown-ups
Collect up to 20 small things at home, such as spoons, socks or pasta shapes. Line them up and touch each one as your child says one number for it. Then count back from 20 to 0 as you put them away one at a time. Write a few numbers and their words on scraps of paper (6 and six, 15 and fifteen) and play a matching game.
