AP English Language diagnostic test
1 h 18 min · 2 sections · prepared on first start
A 78-minute scaled-down exam, about 40% of the real length. It has 18 multiple-choice questions (reading and revision sets) in 24 minutes, then all three essay tasks (synthesis, rhetorical analysis and argument) in a compressed 54-minute block, so each essay is a focused short draft. Essays are scored on the full 6-point rubric structure. The results give a baseline across all four skill categories and every rubric row, and show where to start studying.
