We can sort animals into groups by their features. Here are three groups: mammals, birds and fish.
Mammals have hair or fur, and they feed their young on milk. The dog and the human are mammals.
Birds have feathers and a beak, and they lay eggs. The owl is a bird.
Fish, like the salmon, breathe with gills and swim with fins. Most fish are covered in scales.
