This is an analogue clock. The short hand shows the hour. It is between 7 and 8, so the hour is 7.
The long hand shows the minutes. The small numbers round the edge count the minutes in fives.
It points to 5. Count in fives: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25. So it is 25 minutes past 7.
A digital clock shows this time in numbers: 7:25. The hour comes first, then the minutes.
Picture: A clock with minutes marked round the edge: the long hand points to 5 (the 25-minute mark) and the short hand is between 7 and 8. The digital time shows 7:25.
Your turn: The short hand is between 4 and 5. The long hand points to 2. Which digital time does this clock show?

Answer
The answer: 4:10
The hour is 4. The long hand on 2 is 2 fives: 10 minutes. It is 4:10.
Picture: A clock with minutes marked round the edge: the long hand points to 2 (the 10-minute mark) and the short hand is between 4 and 5. The digital time shows 4:10.
Art club starts at 3:10. The long hand points to 2.
Art club ends at 3:35. The long hand moves on to 7.
Count on in fives from 10: 15, 20, 25, 30, 35. That is 5 fives.
5 fives are 25. So art club lasts 25 minutes.
