Everything that feeds the Reading subscore (25% of the overall score). The fast word-level tasks (Read and Complete, Read and Select, Fill in the Blanks) reward vocabulary breadth, spelling and grammatical cueing; the two Interactive Reading passages test sentence- and passage-level comprehension.

Unit 2
Everything that feeds the Listening subscore (25% of the overall score): exact transcription of single sentences in Listen and Type, and two Interactive Listening conversations built from Listen and Complete and Listen and Respond. The written Summarize the Conversation that follows each conversation is taught in the Writing unit.

Everything that feeds the Writing subscore (25% of the overall score). Every writing response is AI-scored on content, discourse coherence, grammar and lexis. The Writing Sample is also sent to institutions with your results.

Everything that feeds the Speaking subscore (25% of the overall score). Every spoken response is AI-scored on content, discourse coherence, fluency, grammar, lexis and pronunciation. The Speaking Sample is recorded on video and sent to institutions.

Reading: Read and Complete, Read and Select, Fill in the Blanks and Interactive Reading · Lesson 1 of 5
A C-test task: a short paragraph in which many words (roughly every other word after the opening sentence) have lost their second half. You type the missing letters within 3 minutes per paragraph. It usually appears several times, so it is one of the largest sources of Reading points.
