Describe and apply the key concepts and evidence from Casey et al.’s research on delayed gratification, including aims, procedure, findings, conclusions and the role of brain processes in self-control.

Compare Sperry with Casey et al. in terms of biological explanation, use of scientific methods and technologies, sample features, data collected, strengths and limitations.

Evaluate biological research in this area using methodological issues, ethical considerations and practical applications, including implications for understanding localisation, self-regulation and brain-based explanations of behaviour.

Apply knowledge of the biological area and its core studies to unfamiliar scenarios, interpreting how brain structure and function may influence cognition and behaviour.
