Coordinate geometry and conic sections

By the end you’ll be able to

• Apply the distance and midpoint formulas in the coordinate plane
• Write and interpret the equation of a circle, completing the square to find its center and radius
• Recognize and interpret parabolas, ellipses and hyperbolas from their equations (advanced topic)
• Perform and describe transformations of figures in the plane (translations, reflections, rotations and dilations)
