Tree diagrams and combined events

By the end you’ll be able to

• Use the addition rule for mutually exclusive events and the multiplication rule for independent events
• Draw and use tree diagrams for independent and dependent events, including selections without replacement (Higher for dependent events)
• Solve problems where the probability is given algebraically or the answer requires forming and solving an equation, e.g. a bag with $n$ red counters (Higher)
