Proof and mathematical language

By the end you’ll be able to

• Use mathematical notation correctly, including set notation, interval notation, implication, equivalence, and the language of necessary and sufficient conditions.
• Interpret and use the terms identity, equation, expression, function, relation, domain, range, subset, element, integer, rational, irrational, real and natural number in context.
• Construct clear arguments and proofs using direct deduction from given assumptions.
