Router forwarding decisions: longest prefix match, administrative distance, and metric

By the end you’ll be able to

• Apply longest prefix match to determine which route a router uses for a given destination IP address.
• Compare competing routes from different routing sources by using administrative distance to determine the preferred route.
• Compare competing routes learned by the same routing protocol by using metric to determine the best path.
