Sequences and series

By the end you’ll be able to

• Generate terms from term-to-term and position-to-term rules, and recognise triangular, square, cube, Fibonacci-type and simple geometric sequences
• Find and use the $n$th term of a linear sequence, and decide whether a given number is a term
• Find the $n$th term of a quadratic sequence using second differences (Higher)
• Work with geometric sequences with a common ratio, including surd ratios such as $\sqrt{2}$ (Higher)
