- College Composition: 125 min total, 50 multiple-choice questions in 55 min plus 2 essays in 70 min (30 min for the first, 40 min for the second).
- One essay is argumentative and one is a source-synthesis essay that must cite 2 provided sources.
- The essays are scored by at least 2 college English faculty readers and weighted equally with the multiple choice into a single 20–80 score; 50 earns 6 semester hours.
- College Composition Modular: about 90 multiple-choice questions in 95 min with no essay component; 50 earns 3 semester hours.
