The format, as published
- Compulsory written exam and compulsory oral exam for English-section students (and SWALS students with English L1).
- Literary analysis and commentary on the S6-S7 syllabus (written duration unverified).
- Students on the 3-period L1 Advanced course sit the L1 Advanced paper in place of L1.
- Orals last 20 minutes after 20 minutes of preparation.
- The final EB mark (0–100, pass 50) is made up of a preliminary mark from S7 coursework and pre-Bac exams (50%), 5 written exams (35%, 7% each) and 3 oral exams (15%, 5% each).
- Subjects are marked 0–10 in decimals (pass 5).
