- Computer-based at Pearson VUE, 2 h 15 min: Section A 42 multiple-choice questions on 12 argumentative passages (95 min) - gives the LNAT score out of 42; Section B one essay from three prompts (40 min), unscored but sent to universities.
- 2026–27 cycle: registration from 1 Aug 2026, testing from 1 Sep 2026; test by 15 Oct 2026 for Oxford/Cambridge, 31 Dec 2026 for KCL/LSE/UCL, 13 Jan 2027 for Bristol/Durham, 25 Jan 2027 for other universities.
- Fee GBP 75 UK/EU, GBP 120 elsewhere (2025–26 rate).
