The format, as published
- From session 2026–27: N5 single question paper 80 marks / 2 h (section 1 objective 20 + section 2 60; was 100 marks / 2 h 30 min; assignment 20 marks, no longer scaled); Higher Papers 1 and 2 merged into one 100-mark / 2 h 30 min paper (objective 20 + restricted/extended 80); AH 100 marks / 2 h 30 min (was 110 marks / 3 h; project 25 marks scaled to 34).
- Plus an assignment (N5/Higher) and a project (AH).
- Graded A-D or No Award; paper-based exams in the Apr-Jun diet (2027 diet 26 Apr-3 Jun, results day 10 Aug 2027; 2026 diet ran 22 Apr-2 Jun).
