The format, as published
- From session 2026–27: N5 question paper 110 marks / 2 h (was 135 marks / 2 h 30 min, scaling removed) plus assignment (20 raw, scaled to 28); Higher Papers 1 and 2 merged into one 130-mark / 2 h 30 min paper (assignment scaled 30 to 33); AH 130 marks / 2 h 30 min (was 155 marks / 3 h; project 30 raw scaled to 44).
- Graded A-D or No Award; paper-based exams in the Apr-Jun diet (2027 diet 26 Apr-3 Jun, results day 10 Aug 2027; 2026 diet ran 22 Apr-2 Jun).
